Mont Marte’s mission is to make fine craft and art supplies affordable and empower everyone to explore their creative side. From humble beginnings in Brisbane, Mont Marte has built a solid reputation. Aussie-established, Mont Marte was founded by Bob, Carol, and Cheyne Kent in Brisbane, Queensland. Starting small by selling canvases, the brand soon grew to offer more than 2,000 art tools and products to creators across the globe!

We partnered with Mont Marte to strengthen their position in a fast-moving creative landscape, where established art retailers and emerging online marketplaces compete for attention. Our core focus was to leverage their unique market presence, accelerate organic growth, and reinforce Mont Marte as a leading brand in the category. Through this strategy, we set clear objectives designed to capitalise on untapped opportunities and elevate their performance across search.

Our Approach

Our approach for Mont Marte began with an investigation of their existing market and the variety within this. Through market trend analysis, competitor benchmarking, and profiling Mont Marte’s many audiences within each product and area our team were able to drive new customer acquisition, foster brand strength and drive new sources of revenue through the organic channel.

  1. Market Research & Discovery: The goal of this phase was to deeply understand the total organic market, pinpointing where competitors fall short and crafting the ideal site architecture. This involved comprehensive research into new keyword opportunities, benchmarking competitor SEO performance, designing an ideal information architecture, clearly defining audience search intent, and establishing a healthy SEO foundation.
  2. Targeted Onsite Optimisation Plan: Applying the research directly into tangible website improvements, this stage was focused on enhancing overall visibility, relevance, and the user journey. Goals included achieving superior Top 3 and Page 1 keyword rankings for terms, increasing conversion rates across core product lines, and ensuring SEO best practices.
  3. Sustained Performance: This phase supported our long-term, ongoing efforts to organic expansion, maintaining a sharp competitive advantage, quickly adapting to major algorithm changes, and continuously broadening Mont Marte’s organic market footprint.
